The beauty of Positano should have already been noticed in the roman epic where the testimony remains in the villa buried under the splendid Byzantine church of Positano, Santa Maria Assunta. This antique village of fisherman began to be spoken of around the world in the 50’s because of its bizarre fashion of artesian clothes and began to attract famous people of the theatre, art, politics and journalism until it became a favourite spot for international tourism.
Positano constitutes, in the Italian architectural scenery, a pearl of originality and beauty. Sculpted in the mountain of artificial terraces, the village of the “scalinatelle” (small stairways) and of the colourful houses recalls the image of the nativity scene…. So defined by its “friends” that, for years, have continued to return.
