The Boutique & Gourmet Hotel Orso Grigio is a small, elegant 4-star hotel in the pedestrian area of San Candido in Alta Pusteria. Sharing a vibrant dialogue with its owners and without losing sight of its important historical heritage, renowned architects adapted the over 500-year old building to the evolving needs of its guests. The fascination of bygone days and the linear elegance appreciated today are reflected in the personal flair of each room offering every comfort.

Hospitality runs in the veins of the Orso Grigio, the traditonal 4-star hotel in San Candido, closed to the Tre Cime in the Dolomites: the guest house was established over 500 years ago, when merchants and pilgrims stopped at the inn. The house has been in the family for over 250 years. Today, Franz Ladinser and his daughter Verena are the 9th and 10th generation of the family to run the hotel.

Our rooms are classified according to 4 “bear” categories: more bears equal greater comfort. All rooms feature an en-suite bathroom, telephone, radio, satellite TV, Wifi connection, hairdryer, room safe, and minibar. They all provide beautiful views overlooking historic monuments, the Baranci mountain range and Mt. Elmo. The furnishings reflect the bygone days with flair, encompassing Biedermeier and period style, classic and modern design. Charm and intimacy are key elements in all rooms.
