The Masseria Montelauro is an old residence dating back to 1878. Immersed in the light and colours of the Otranto countryside, 2 km from the sea and the town centre, the masseria has been restored respecting its original rural character amidst dry stone walls and centuries-old olive trees.

The masseria has a courtyard architecture typical of country houses, with a simple, rectilinear swimming pool at its centre so as not to alter the rural character of the structure. The 29 rooms overlooking the pool or the surrounding countryside are divided into Classic, Superior, Junior Suites and Suites, which vary in size and, in the case of the Superior, Junior and Suites, are characterised by the warm atmosphere of the vaulted Lecce stone ceilings. Almost all have private access to the garden and are simply and elegantly furnished. All rooms are equipped with every service: air conditioning, telephone, minibar, hairdryer, pool towel, safe and satellite TV. Wi-Fi internet access is available in the common areas and outside.

Our cuisine is fresh and contemporary, but deeply rooted in the tradition of Salento, where sustainability becomes excellence without waste. It is a taste experience born from the rediscovery of Apulian roots and ancient gestures reinterpreted with an international touch. Our menu is ever-changing, focusing on high-quality and seasonal ingredients sourced from local producers or grown in Masseria Montelauro's adjacent vegetable and fruit orchard. It is a cuisine based on identity that allows you to discover the flavours of our land.

The Fimmine restaurant is open both to guests of the Masseria and to those who do not stay with us but wish to experience an unforgettable evening.

The Montelauro has 29 rooms with a simple but refined style and rustic furnishings typical of traditional Apulian masserias (farmhouses). Each room is unique, having been renovated respecting the original environment, with sturdy whitewashed walls, vaulted ceilings made of local stone and "chianca" floors typical of this region. The white colour and the warm lighting of the handmade, wrought-iron lamps lead guests into the silence and tranquillity of a timeless place, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Some rooms have a terrace, others a small veranda with sofas.
