In the centre of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site, in the valley of the Loreley, lies the romantic wine town of Bacharach. Spend a few wonderful days in our family-run hotel "Altkölnischer Hof", your 3-star superior hotel in the centre of Bacharach, a cosy and historic half-timbered house. Our terrace directly on the market square invites you to linger.

Poets, painters and musicians have left their mark in romantic Bacharach. Our rooms are all equipped with bath/WC or shower/WC, telephone, satellite TV, flat screen TV, laptop safe, minibar and hairdryer. Some of the rooms have a balcony and are accessible by lift.

W-Lan is available in all rooms and in the public areas and is free of charge for hotel guests. Enjoy our rich breakfast buffet. Our restaurant is open for you in the evening and serves Rhineland specialities and home-style delicacies. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Thursdays.

A secure hotel car park is available to our guests 150 metres away.

Our holiday flats are located about 100 metres away in a half-timbered house built in 1596, which was completely restored and renovated in 2003. The holiday flat "Stahleck" is on the 1st floor. The flat is fully equipped and offers you: 4-zone ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, egg cooker, coffee machine, fridge, freezer compartment. Laptop safe, CD player, DVD player and 2 colour televisions.

Our restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and serves Rhineland specialities and home-style delicacies. A hotel car park is available to our guests 150 metres away. Many excursion boats call at Bacharach. Here guests can experience authentic history and enjoy the pure romance of the Rhine. In the 19th century, Viktor Hugo described Bacharach as one of the "most beautiful towns in the world".

We enjoyed our stay in this very clean hotel and great location.We would stay here again for sure. We had 3 rooms and all rooms were very clean and a good size. I think the owners/management have been running this hotel for to long,however don't let this bother you ,its a great place for a Rhine visit
