The Gasthof "Hotel zur Post in Erlau is a family business. Our employees are also part of the "host family" and some of them have been with us for over 30 years. Our common endeavour is to offer you, our valued guest, a break from everyday life. A piece of home for a while and memories that you will remember fondly for many years to come. The new restaurant, the beautiful hall and the new holiday flats now invite you to stay at the Erlau.

The stylish furnishings of the rooms create a pleasant living atmosphere in which you can relax after an eventful day. Of course, each of our guest rooms has a bathroom with shower and WC. The TV sets are connected to a satellite system so that you can receive over 50 programmes. The reception always has an ear for the wishes of our guests. An information folder provides tips for excursions or our team will help you plan your holiday. Your physical well-being is catered for in the restaurant. After a hearty breakfast, you can start the day refreshed.

Our house is located directly on the Danube cycle path, directly on the Danube, opposite Krempelstein Castle and close to the three-river city of Passau, whose sights and daily boat trips are a popular destination for excursions. The picturesque landscape with its idyllic hiking trails invites you to take long walks and the many well-developed cycle paths along the banks of the river will tempt any cycling enthusiast to go on long excursions. Our marina, the Bavarian Forest mountains such as the Dreisessel and Arber, the Bavarian Forest National Park, a variety of museums, marked hiking trails and fishing on the Danube offer further attractive leisure opportunities. In the nearby spa triangle you can relax in the healing thermal springs or visit neighbouring Austria.
