Welcome to the BärenHof guest house & holiday flats in Barkow-Ausbau near Plau on Lake Kritzow in the Mecklenburg Lake District! Nestled in the vastness of the Mecklenburg Lake District, the BärenHof guest house has its own special charm at any time of year, situated directly on the lake, with its own bathing area, far away from stress and hectic, you can spend carefree holidays with us.

An over one hundred year old farmhouse in an exclusive location directly on Lake Kritzow has been lovingly remodelled. Comfortable, spacious holiday flats, all with a terrace overlooking the lake, were created by mid-1997. In 2005, five double rooms were added, as well as a breakfast room and a multi-purpose room, which can also be used for smaller seminars.

The rooms are spacious, individually furnished and have a shower/WC, TV, direct dial telephone and Internet access on request. Start the day with a hearty breakfast in our sunny breakfast room.

The holiday flats offer space for 2 to 6 people and are equipped with a cosy living/dining room, kitchenette incl. dishwasher and coffee machine, bedroom, shower or bath/WC (bed linen and towels included), TV, direct-dial telephone and Internet access on request.

There are plenty of parking spaces on the two-hectare site.
A large sunbathing lawn, private beach, boats, Finnish sauna, barbecue area and a cosy wine cellar are available to our guests. We hire out SUPs (stand up paddling) and kayaks.

The state capital Schwerin, Rostock with the seaside resort of Warnemünde, Fischland Darß, the Barlach town of Güstrow, the baroque town of Ludwigslust, the Müritz National Park, the Nossentiner-Schwinzer Heide and, for golf enthusiasts, the spacious courses in Gören-Lebbin are among many other tourist attractions in the region. The White Fleet has its starting point for trips across the Mecklenburg Lake District in Plau, 8 kilometres away.
