Quinta do Paço d'Anha - (Agro-Turismo - Manor House - T.E.R.): Quinta Paço d'Anha is a farm with an ancient manor house, in the locality of Vila Nova de Anha, only 3 km south of the city of Viana do Castelo in northern Portugal. Its location on a slope facing south presents a panorama of a singular beauty, taking in both landscape and a view of the sea. The farm is surrounded by a long wall, which provides great privacy and peace. Vila Nova de Anha: 41°40'N 8°48'W - The manor house at Paço d'Anha is a fine example of 16th Century Portuguese architecture. Many superb pieces of antique furniture and family heirlooms can be seen there. The name 'Paço' was given after the king D. António Prior de Crato hid here in 1580 when pursued by Spanish soldiers. Absolute privacy and tranquility is afforded by the visitors' accommodation in renovated rural buildings. One may also visit the vineyards and cellars and sample the renowned Vinho Verde.
