Don’t forget to visit “The Lady from the Sea” at the north pier of the harbour. This over 6-metre-tall concrete sculpture was created by sculptress Marit Benthe Mygdal together with 880 children, each of whom gave their opinion of what a guardian angel made of glass should look like. The Lady from the Sea depicts a mythological figure who shows two different faces. Invite your own mermaid and the rest of the family out for a fine dinner. We recommend the fish specialities at Klostergyden, Fiskehandel and, in all modesty, our own Restaurant. Here you can enjoy our chef’s flair for making breakfast and the favourite dishes of adults and children alike, which can be savoured while enjoying the captivating panoramic view across dunes and sea.
