The solarium should be used responsibly and in accordance with health recommendations.
An on-site fitness room complements the wellness facilities. It allows for a light workout even in bad weather.
The specific range of equipment is not listed in full in the accommodation information provided. Guests with specific training requirements should therefore enquire in advance.

The property also features a sunny garden with a sunbathing area. During the warmer months, guests can relax there and enjoy the mountain air.
Childcare is not listed as a standard service. Parents therefore remain responsible for supervising their children.
Winter sports enthusiasts benefit from a dedicated ski room. This features:
Storage facilities for skis and snowboards
Ski boot dryer
Table or area for ski preparation
Dry and pre-warmed ski boots significantly increase comfort the following morning. Separate storage also means that winter sports equipment does not have to be carried into the apartments.
An underground car park is available to guests. This protects the vehicle from snow, ice and strong sunlight.
A charging point for electric vehicles is also provided. The number of points, charging capacity, plug type, availability and costs should be enquiries before arrival. Particularly during peak season, it is advisable to book in advance, where this service is offered.
A lift makes it easier to transport luggage and shopping between the car park and the accommodation floors.
The official accommodation guide lists Residence Flamingo as a pet-free property. Dogs and other pets are therefore generally not permitted.
As enquiry forms may sometimes include general options regarding pets, you should not rely on these alone. Bringing a pet would only be possible following explicit written confirmation from the accommodation provider.
Wolkenstein is one of the most important winter sports resorts in the Dolomites. From Residence Flamingo, guests can reach the slopes and ski lifts in a short time.
The Val Gardena ski area is part of Dolomiti Superski. It offers connections to:
Ciampinoi
Dantercepies
Seceda
Col Raiser
Monte Pana
Sella Pass
Val Gardena Pass
Sellaronda
Which lifts and runs are open during your stay depends on snow conditions, the weather and the season. You should check the current situation daily via the official lift and piste information.
The Sellaronda is one of the most famous ski circuits in the Alps. It circles the Sella massif and connects the Ladin valleys of Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba and Val di Fassa.
Wolkenstein is a particularly suitable starting point. To complete the entire circuit, skiers need a valid Dolomiti Superski pass, plenty of time and the necessary fitness.
As lift operations and mountain passes are weather-dependent, the circuit should be started early in the day. It is important not to miss the last lift connections.
Ciampinoi is one of the most important skiing and hiking areas above Wolkenstein. In winter, it provides access to slopes leading towards Plan de Gralba, the Sellaronda and the famous Saslong run.
The Saslong is renowned for its international ski races. Some sections may prove challenging for less experienced winter sports enthusiasts. Alternatively, there are numerous easier slopes available in the ski area.
In summer, hiking trails wind through the alpine landscape below the Langkofel and the Sella Group.
The Dantercepies cable car connects Wolkenstein with the area above the village and provides access towards the Grödner Joch and Alta Badia.
In winter, Dantercepies forms part of the Sellaronda. In summer, scenic hikes begin here, offering views of the Sella Group, the Cir Peaks and Langkofel.
Seceda is one of the most famous vantage points in Val Gardena. Its striking rock formations and vast alpine pastures feature in numerous images of the Dolomites.
From Wolkenstein, depending on the season, the Seceda can be reached via the valley or by taking the cable cars from St. Christina or St. Ulrich. Hikes should be planned according to your fitness level, the weather and the operating times of the cable cars.
Parts of the region form part of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. The landscape, with its limestone plateaus, steep rock faces and alpine pastures, offers numerous hiking destinations. Conservation regulations and marked trails must be observed.
In summer, the Residence Flamingo is a good starting point for:
Hikes
Mountain tours
Family trails
Via ferrata routes
Mountain bike tours
Road cycling tours
Trail running
Nordic walking
Trips by mountain cable cars
The Dolomites are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Weather conditions can change very quickly in the mountains. Even on seemingly easy routes, suitable footwear, weather protection and plenty of water are essential.
The Langkofel is one of the most striking mountains in the Dolomites. The area between the Langkofel, Plattkofel and Sella Pass offers a variety of hiking trails, mountain huts and vantage points.
The road over the Sella Pass is also popular with motorcyclists and road cyclists. During the peak season, traffic volumes can be high. It may therefore be advisable to travel by public transport or set off early.
Val Gardena offers an extensive network of mountain bike routes. The region also hosts the challenging HERO South Tyrol Dolomites race.
Not all routes are suitable for beginners. Guided tours, riding technique courses and e-bike hire can make it easier to get started. Bicycles may only be used on authorised paths.
The Sellaronda MTB Tour combines mountain railways and descents around the Sella Group. The operating hours and transport rules for the individual facilities should be checked in advance.
For families, there are various themed trails, playgrounds and activity options in the area. Depending on the season, these include:
PanaRaida on Monte Pana
Valtoi – Realm of the Senses
Nature and wildlife trails
Playgrounds in the Val Gardena villages
Easy panoramic trails
Family programmes organised by Val Gardena Active
Age restrictions, costs and opening times should be checked in advance.
St. Christina lies between Wolkenstein and St. Ulrich. The village is a good starting point for the Col Raiser, the Seceda and Monte Pana.
Monte Pana offers hiking trails, viewpoints and family activities. In winter, there are ski slopes and cross-country skiing facilities available.
St. Ulrich is the largest village in the Val Gardena valley. The pedestrianised area features shops, cafés and restaurants.
The Gherdëina Museum offers insights into geology, natural history, Ladin culture and the valley’s traditional woodcarving craft. The parish church and numerous arts and crafts workshops are also well worth a visit.
Val Gardena is characterised by the Ladin language and culture. Alongside German and Italian, Ladin is spoken in the valley.
The centuries-old woodcarving tradition of Val Gardena is particularly well known. Visitors can discover traditional and contemporary works in workshops, galleries and exhibitions.
Thanks to its central location, many destinations in Selva can be reached on foot. Public buses are available for journeys within the valley.
Depending on the package booked, a Val Gardena Guest Pass may be included. Whether and to what extent the residence issues this pass should be confirmed directly with the accommodation provider.
For summer excursions, the Gardena Card or Dolomiti Supersummer Card may be of interest. In winter, the Dolomiti Superski tariffs and conditions apply.
Selva is situated at the upper end of the Val Gardena valley. The roads lead through St. Ulrich and St. Christina into the village. Alternatively, depending on the season, it is possible to travel via the Grödner Joch or Sellajoch passes.
In winter road conditions, winter equipment must be used and the applicable Italian regulations observed. Mountain passes may be temporarily closed due to snow or for safety reasons.
For rail travellers, the main stations to consider are Bolzano, Bressanone, Chiusa or Waidbruck. From there, the journey continues by bus, taxi or organised transfer.
The residence is particularly suitable for:
Couples
Families with children
Small groups
Skiers and snowboarders
