Welcome to Lana!

We have been welcoming guests and wine lovers to our farm for many years. In 2022 we start anew! The farm and the Residence Hännsl am Ort are located in the market town of Lana, idyllically situated in the heart of our vineyards. Enjoy your holiday in our flats or be inspired by our wines. Hännsl am Ort - in the midst of dreamlike scenery and wines full of character.

It began over twenty years ago as a hobby, self-taught and with little equipment, we pressed 170 litres of red wine for ourselves and our house guests. Independently of the large co-operatives in this country, we founded the winery with the name "Hännsl am Ort". The winery grew little by little - we now have several white and red wines and a rosé in our programme every year. The range of wines extends from light house wines to full-bodied red wines matured in barrels. From pruning the vines to bottling the wine - the work of the South Tyrolean winegrowers and winemakers is as exciting as it is passionate.

The meadows near the Adige in Niederlana are particularly suitable for our asparagus. The sandy, humus-rich soil warms up quickly in spring and so we can often harvest the first spears at the end of March or beginning of April, initially for our own use. We can then offer usable quantities from around 10 April. We then end the season on the second Sunday in May. After all, the plants need to recover for the next season.

It's the variety that counts. Cherries, plums, pears, persimmons, kiwis, nuts, apricots, blueberries. It all grows here and we are happy to share the pleasure of the fruit. The aim is to sell them fresh. While cherries, plums, apricots and blueberries reach their ripeness in midsummer, pears and nuts wait until autumn. Kiwis and persimmons are the last to be harvested and are not ready until late autumn. We also process the fruit into spreads and dried fruit.

You will find all of this in our holiday flats, some of which have been newly renovated.

The apartments with up to 75 square metres on different floors. With separate hallway and east and/or west-facing balcony. Some flats have two separate bedrooms and two separate bathrooms, each with a shower and hairdryer. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with a large seating area. Spacious for two/four people - this flat can accommodate up to seven people thanks to the sofa bed.

You are located on a 6,000 square metre estate in the heart of Lana, surrounded by our vineyards. On foot, by bus or by bike. The central location of the residence offers a perfect starting point for hiking, for walks through the historic village centre. The nearest bus connection and shopping facilities are just a few minutes' walk away without a car.

For the warmer seasons, the heated pool offers a welcome way to cool off - for the not-so-warm days, you can relax in the 35°C hot tub. Both are surrounded by a lush green lawn.

All of our 6 flats are equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine and cash box.
