Located in the most important & beautiful part of Italy, nestled in a valley in the Umbrian countryside La Casella is an Eco Resort that offers an ecological choice for holidaymakers who want to feel at one with the natural habitat around them.

Originally an 870-acre rural agricultural village, owned by a single landowner, La Casella was bought by the family Nenna and converted into a Vacation Resort by refurbishing the abandoned village houses following strict conservation laws enacted by the local government to preserve Umbria’s heritage. First opened in 1987 La Casella Resort is still owned and run by the family who built it.

At La Casella much thought has gone into how to help guests achieve a break from life’s ‘noises’ while staying on the property. Wi-Fi is available only in the main communal spaces, making the bedrooms an oasis from constant access, 24/7 access. Enjoy the tranquillity of the extensive countryside that sorrounds the resort or join the fun of the communal activities in the “main house”. At La Casella you can unwind and relax in our Natural SPA or do as much or as little as you wish…

Our hospitality consists of standard rooms and "green country houses" (suites). All standard rooms & green country houses are decorated with stylish, locally hand-crafted furniture and original paintings of artists who have lived and worked in our on-site art workshop.

We take the concept of "eating fresh and local" very seriously at La Casella! Our resident Chefs get most of their ingredients directly from our organic farm or from small local producers. Inspired by the traditions of our beautiful land, our Chefs re-invent classic dishes by infusing them with more healthful techniques.

The water-flowing of the river, the "silence of Nature", a careful and accurate service, together with a warm and informal atmosphere help achieve total relaxiation and forget the stress of everyday life. Where the SPA - Wellness Center is built today there was the little cloister of La Casella's old rural community. Originally it was a place to gather during the feast days. We have restored the original plant of the building, according to the memories of the last farmers who lived there. The entire wellness center is surrounded with a wall protecting it from every external noises. Our Guests can undive and relax taking advantage of massages and treatments or in the “humid zone”, with the Jacuzzi overlooking the external area in front of the big oak, the Finnish-Style Sauna and the Turkish Bath or visit our Panoramic Room, where in the Summer months, we offer Yoga & Meditation courses.

The Equestrian Center was inspired by the lifelong passion the owners of La Casella have always had for horses. Through the Center’s affiliation with FITETREC, nationally certified Academy instructors teach individual or group lessons to all levels, from beginning riders to advanced horse-riding trekkers. More experienced riders may participate in organized group rides (horse trekkings), ranging from one hour to several days, throughout the expansive grounds and surrounding picturesque countryside.
