Agrincontri is a farmhouse on an estate of 200 hectares located on hills of an altitude of 600m between the villages of Montecastello di Vibio and San Venanzo. The main towns are Todi and Orvieto, 16 and 30 km away respectively. Due to the vicinity to the motorway E45, which connects the most important cities of Umbria, one can reach the main points of interest, such as Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Spello, Marmore waterfall, Clitunno's spring. Furthermore, one should not forget the small towns that, even if less sizeable, are deserving of attention, such as Montecastello di Vibio, where one can take in the old center with its small narrow backstreets. The “Santa Maria” cottage was constructed at the end of the eighteenth century in the ancient Umbrian style. Inside you can observe things that tell the story of this beautiful region. Santa Maria is surrounded by a fertile garden, a vegetable-garden, a swimming-pool and a beautiful hilly landscape. The cottage made of a strong stone structure, with an oven for baking bread. There is also a room with a substantial fireplace for the long winter nights and other characteristic features of a traditional Umbrian country house. At the Agrincontri, dinner attempts to recreate and conserve ancient recipes. The secret lies in using genuine fresh produce and, of course, having the company of good friends so that you can supplement your stomach as well as your mind. For those who would like to remind themselves of their own stay at the Agrincontri, it is possible to buy confectionaries of honey, jam, jars of small artichokes, aubergines, mushrooms, dried mushrooms, dried tomatoes, cereals, extra virgin olive oil, wine, and deer, boar and lamb as well as cold meats.
