The Hotel Ausonia, which was founded in the 1950s and has been run by the Pierini family since the beginning, is now a 3-star hotel with 27 rooms, a garden and a private beach on the Gulf of Follonica.
The location is enviable: in the centre of the town, between the pine forest and the Follonica seafront. Strategically, it is a real reference point for visiting and getting to know the Tuscan coast and the most interesting areas of the Maremma.
The hotel is accessible to disabled guests and is pet-friendly.
Hotel Ausonia offers local cuisine and vegetarian menus.

The rooms are spread over two floors of the main building and are not identical, as is usual in historic buildings, but offer the same care and standard that the "Ausonia services" guarantee, whether they are called comfort, standard or large single rooms.
However, the reference to Tuscany and the Maremma is present in the bright colours, in the furniture of some rooms and in the decor of the common areas, which recall the cast iron and the history of Follonica. The beach is just 30 metres from the hotel, accessible via the pedestrian area, disabled access, changing rooms, hot showers, bar, restaurant, lifeguard.
The Bagno Ausonia offers a bar and restaurant service and has a 10-row system of parasols equipped with two deckchairs and a director's chair. Its location, very central and opposite the characteristic promenade of Follonica, allows a holiday with all the amenities that the small town in Maremma offers during the summer season.
The fine sand slopes gradually into the water of the gulf and is therefore very suitable and safe for children.
Additional paid services such as private cabins and hot showers can be booked on site.
Our "sea" offer includes the possibility of "all-inclusive" stays (room, beach service and catering) or alternatively the option of reserving your own parasol for the duration of your stay.

The cuisine favours fresh, regional ingredients. We offer traditional dishes with a modern twist. During the season, we favour fresh and lively cuisine that combines lightness and quality. The menus are updated daily and the desserts are homemade. Our staff cater for the dietary needs of each individual guest by varying the dishes on offer and paying attention to the quality of the dishes on offer.

The Hotel Ausonia is a pet-friendly establishment. Your four-legged friends are welcome, you just have to respect some basic rules of cohabitation and pay a small extra charge for thorough cleaning.
You can also quickly explore the town by bike and visit some of the places worth seeing in the surrounding area, such as Cala Violina, Cala Martina or the Sterpaia coastal park. They can be requested at reception and are free of charge for short journeys, otherwise they can be hired for excursions or daily use.
Organised excursions, trekking or mountain bike tours can be booked at the hotel.
