The Hotel Santa Maria is located in the centre of Rome, in the heart of Trastevere, one of the city’s most ancient and distinctive neighbourhoods famous for its restaurants, folklore performances and other evening activities. T

he Hotel Santa Maria is a Hotel de Charme located in a 16th century cloister completely renovated in the year 2000 maintaining the flavour of the original construction.

The hotel has a one-floor plan with all rooms communicating on a monastic portico, and facing an ample and silent garden of orange-trees, flowers and Mediterranean plants, a perfect setting for enjoying breakfast in the warm and sunny roman days, or just for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

All rooms are built around a courtyard and portico, each illuminated by a window which looks out at the orange trees in the garden. The rooms (non-smoking) are very comfortable and quiet, painted with sunny colors and floral motifs and provide all the modern amenities.

If the weather does not allow to serve breakfast in the garden, an ancient artisan’s workshop has been transformed into an elegant dining room, and it will welcome you with a rich and tasty breakfast.
