The "Goldner Stern" (Golden Star), a family-owned hotel with long-standing tradition, is situated in the center of the climatic health-resort Muggendorf. You find our village right in the heart of the Franconian Switzerland, a most beautiful landscape with romantic rivers, bizarre rocks, enchanting caves and medieval castles. It is one of the most visited vacation areas all over Germany and - besides being a hiker's paradise - offers a wealth of leisure time activities ranging from culture to recreation to sports. Although the origins of the hotel date back to the year 1668, our house is up-to-date: our new spa services offer advanced treatments, and our conference facilities are equally well equipped. We have been given a four star rating by the "German Hotel and Restaurant Association". Our comfortable restaurant with non-smoking areas and a patio is open not only to our guests, but to all visitors and hikers as well.
