The inn, built in 1866, has been run by the Ehrl family for over 100 years. Our house is situated in a quiet location directly on the Altmühltal cycle path and panoramic hiking trail. Centrally located, our house is the ideal starting point for excursions and exploratory tours. Bicycle and motorbike enthusiasts are very welcome. We offer storage space for bicycles and motorbikes and a spacious car park for cars and buses.

For a quiet and comfortable holiday stay, our house has 25 rooms with shower/WC, WiFi and TV, hairdryer, desk. Breakfast buffet from 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. in the room next to the guesthouse, or earlier on request.

Our energy supply is ecologically orientated and uses local renewable raw materials (wood chips).

In our rustic guest room or in the cosy shady beer garden with chestnut trees we offer you a rich menu. From hearty Bavarian cuisine with regional specialities to international cuisine and Bavarian snacks from our own Wurstkuchl. We also serve the original Schneider Weiße or selected wines from our well-stocked wine list.

Our premises are ideal for weddings, birthdays, company celebrations, anniversaries of all kinds and whatever else you have to celebrate. You have the choice between our cosy, rustic parlour with 60 seats and 40 in the adjoining room or the large hall for up to 170 guests.

Situated in the heart of the Lower Altmühl Valley, Essing's central location offers guests numerous leisure activities for all ages: all excursion destinations and sights are within easy reach by bike or, for hiking enthusiasts, on foot (max. 10 km).

Tolle Lage direkt an der altmühl. Super Essen sehr gemütlich. Nettes Personal sehr empfehlenswert. Wir werden wieder dort anreisen.
