Built in 1866, the guesthouse has been run by the Ehrl family for over 100 years. Our house is located in a quiet location directly on the Altmühltal cycle and panorama hiking trail. Centrally located, our house is the ideal starting point for excursions and exploration tours. Cycling and motorbike enthusiasts are very welcome. We offer storage facilities for bicycles and motorbikes and a spacious car park for cars and buses.

For a quiet and comfortable holiday, our house has 25 rooms with shower/WC, WiFi and TV, hairdryer, desk. Breakfast buffet from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the next room, or earlier if you wish.

Our energy supply is ecologically oriented and is provided by local renewable raw materials (wood chips).

We offer you a wide range of dishes in our rustic restaurant or in the cosy, shady beer garden with chestnut trees. From hearty Bavarian cuisine with regional specialities to international cuisine and Bavarian snacks from our own sausage kitchen. We serve the original Schneider Weisse beer or selected wines from our well-stocked wine list.

Our premises are ideal for weddings, birthdays, company parties, anniversaries of all kinds and whatever else you have to celebrate. You have the choice between our cosy, rustic parlour with 60 seats and 40 in the adjoining room or the large hall for up to 170 guests.

Located in the heart of the Lower Altmühl Valley, Essing's central location offers guests numerous leisure opportunities for all ages: all excursion destinations and places of interest are easily accessible by bike or on foot (max. 10 km) for hiking enthusiasts.
