Welcome to Posada Mayor de Migueloa at Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa’s Capital. Its structure is what once was referred to as the Viana Palace, built in 1619 by Don Martin Sánchez Samaniego in a most authentique Gentle Baroque style. Due to its architectural structure, its quality standards and as a result of its great location, the Inn is considered to be one of Spain’s most prestigious establishments. In Mayor de Migueloa there is one of the most remarkable restaurants of the North of Spain and it is considered so. It has private dining-rooms with air conditioning and heating system and all types of facilities for children. It also has special menus and is available for company gatherings or meetings, with space for 150 people. The wine cellars, installed in 1619 with the palace, are one of the most antique among the Rioja Denomination of origin wine cellars still working: Here you find Excellent Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva vintage wines.
