Welcome to the Berghotel Gasthaus Lockwitzgrund in Altenberg-Schellerhau!

Our guesthouse is located south of Dresden in the centre of Schellerhau, a popular holiday resort in the Eastern Ore Mountains at any time of year.

The more than 450-year-old village, which is spread out at an altitude of 700-800 metres above sea level, is also located in one of the largest and most beautiful landscape conservation areas in Saxony.

Enjoy the unique landscape on hikes or walks, let yourself be spoilt by our traditional Saxon cuisine to your heart's content, or simply relax after a strenuous and eventful day, e.g. in our in-house sauna.

For your holiday, short break or weekend stay, we have single and double rooms available with a total capacity for approx. 55 people.

For families we have a spacious holiday flat for up to 4 people.

All rooms are equipped with shower/WC/TV.

A cosy restaurant with 50 seats is available for our guests. Freshly prepared every day, we serve home-style Saxon cuisine, game from the forests of the Ore Mountains and specialities of our house. Beer fresh from the barrel and exquisite wines round off the offer and make your stay a pleasure.

Whether it's a birthday party with grandma and grandpa, a large family celebration, a club anniversary, a company event or a coach tour group - we are happy to be your partner. We will plan and organise your highlight according to your individual wishes to make your stay with us an unforgettable experience.

For little railway enthusiasts, big model railway fans and all fathers and grandfathers whose heart beats faster at the sight of a model railway, we have our own attraction with great attention to detail in the warm season. We have installed a garden railway for you (and us) right next to our hotel.
