Our family-run 3-star Kolmenhof guesthouse is located at an altitude of 1100 metres at the source of the Danube in Furtwangen and is the ideal starting point for hiking and winter sports in the Black Forest.

In our individually designed rooms you will only be woken by the sound of birdsong and the splashing of the Danube. The modern rooms all have new bathrooms with shower and WC, some rooms have a balcony.

In our leisure room with an inviting sofa area, you will find a TV with DVDs, a library and a large selection of games. Relax in the sauna by candlelight and take a glass of sparkling wine with you. Lean back and enjoy the soothing tranquillity. For our younger guests there is an extra children's playroom with lots of different toys. There is also a children's playground on the property as well as a collection of old agricultural machinery and vintage cars. Travel cots for babies and toddlers are available in the house.

We are rooted in the region, which is also reflected in our menu. We spoil our guests with fresh, high-quality products from the region.

Enjoy our extensive breakfast buffet, traditional Black Forest cuisine, dishes with a French twist, vegetarian dishes and seasonal specialities from our kitchen. Try our Black Forest trout freshly caught from the trough, fresh salads, delicious starters and soups, sweet and savoury dishes. We offer modified dishes for guests with gluten or lactose intolerance. Of course we cater for allergies - just let us know.

Younger guests will find their favourite dish on the children's menu and our menu suggestions ensure pure culinary delights. We offer a daily selection of cakes and tarts from our cake counter - including, of course, the traditional Black Forest gateau.

Our cosy restaurant or the sun terrace offer the perfect ambience for enjoyable hours.

Our active winter sports enthusiasts can store their cross-country skis in our ski cellar and, if necessary, wax their skis in the ski locker for the cross-country trail. There is the possibility to dry your wet clothes, then after a break, perhaps with a hot mulled wine, you can get back on the piste. If you wish, you can hire a sledge or bobsleigh and let off steam with your children on the toboggan run right outside the door. Free W-LAN is available to our visitors throughout the house for laptop or smartphone.

Storage facilities for bicycles and motorbikes are available at the Kolmenhof. In summer, we offer an e-bike charging station right outside the door. Here you can charge your e-bike while you enjoy a cool, freshly tapped beer or a slice of Black Forest gateau. The Kolmenhof (awarded the "Wanderbares Deutschland" seal of quality) also offers everything a hiker's heart desires: from packed lunches to personalised tour advice and maps, everything is available in-house.
