Castle Rheinfels is one of the most impressing palaces in Germany. The hotel is embedded in the beautiful valley Loreley. The restaurant offers dishes with fresh and healthy ingredients. Rheinfels, the largest ruined castle on the Rhine, provides a wealth of information regarding the art of fortification, particularly during the Late Renaissance period. It was built in 1245. In the 16th and 17th centuries the Hessian landgraves converted the building to form both a residence and a fortress. It was destroyed in 1796-1797. The ruins of the medieval castle (a huge cellar with an immense barrel vault) together with the subterranean passages of the fortress are highly impressive. The conference villa of Rheinfels was awarded number 1 of the German conference hotels in 2003 for the second time. There are diverse conference rooms at your disposal in different sizes for a successful conference. Also there is an outdoor-park at your disposal.
