Aguglia Manor is situated close to the main historical, artistic and natural places of Eastern Sicily at a height of 640m a.s.l., right in the centre of 42 acres of fruit-growing farmland, with nut, cherry, orange and olive trees, only seven kilometres from Palazzolo Acreide, a town recently declared as Inheritance of Humanity by the U.N.E.S.C.O. It is located half an hour (by car) from Syracuse, Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Noto, the Game Reserve of Vendicari, Pantalica and only 15 minutes from Cavagrande del Cassibile. “AGUGLIA” is also close to some of the most beautiful coasts of the eastern Mediterranean Sea (Fontane Bianche, Arenella and Marzamemi beaches).The mild climate allows the guests to rest in a fresh and gentle atmosphere surrounded by hills after having spent an enjoyable day at the seaside or by sightseeing. AGUGLIA provides six exclusive non-smoker rooms made up as small suites overlooking their own patio and each one served by an independent entrance. Each suite has a modern bathroom, telephone, TV and refrigerator/bar. All of them are equipped with antique furniture including old tools and terra cotta pottery. The tiled floor is made of cotto siciliano (Sicilian burnt brick) and the roof support structures are traditionally in wood beams. Fax and internet access are also available. You may relax in the patio in front of your suite or take a walk through the garden and the olive and orange groves. Boats with skipper for rent are available at the Ognina marine (30 min. by car), if required.
