Located in Cedros, a rural 'faialense' town about 17 km from Horta (the main city on the island Faial, Azores), the Casa do Capitão is a peaceful oasis surrounded by small houses built of volcanic stone, cultivated fields, pastures and back yards lined with fruit trees. The house has a traditional architecture with a stone-inlay façade, and a small landscaped 'patio' at the centre, ideal for a breakfast or a late afternoon tea. There are several paths that meander from the house and invite you to a walk on the countryside or alongside the coast with breathtaking views of São Jorge and Graciosa islands. The house has several large bedrooms decorated with a rural 'faialense' flavour.
