Welcome to the Casa Tipica Sa Muredda, a traditional Sardinian house. Built entirely in stone and surrounded by a large, well-kept garden with terracotta pots and traditional tools. The interior also reflects this typical style. Fine, old tapestries hang on the walls and the terra cotta floors warm the wooden furniture and bring out the red of the copper pots. On the ground floor in the breakfast-living room, decorated with handmade tablecloths, cushions and bowls for fruit and bread, you can try typical Sardinian food. The bedrooms are spacious and tastefully furnished with wooden benches, bedside tables, wardrobes and wrought iron chairs and beds. Each bedroom has air-conditioning and an elegant en-suite bathroom. The town of Villanovaforru, situated in the heart of the Marmilla district, today enjoys international fame thanks to the excavation work carried out on the Nuraghe Genna Maria, and the inauguration of the Genna Maria Museum. In the historical town centre visitors can admire the beautiful old houses, which have been carefully restored in stone and respect the traditional architecture of the area.
