a warm welcome to our hotel and restaurant ‘Rosengarten’.

This imposing half-timbered house with its ‘crooked’ charm at the entrance to the moated town of Ziegenhain was built in 1620 and could tell many stories from its centuries-old past. You can learn a lot about it by taking a closer look and also by taking a walk through the old town of Ziegenhain.

In 2001, the rose garden was awarded the ‘German Half-Timbered House Prize’ and is thus one of the most beautiful half-timbered houses in Germany!

There are currently 10 modern double rooms with shower, toilet, TV and telephone available. We also offer 3 beautiful holiday apartments with shower, toilet, TV and telephone for long-term rental.

In our new guest house ‘Haus Harthberg’ we now offer affordable accommodation for mechanics and all other guests. The house is located in Schwalmstadt-Treysa, in the former Harthbergkaserne.

Enjoy the beautiful hours of the glorious summer in our garden.

Let us spoil you with our kitchen and the specialities of the house.

International cuisine and an excellent wine cellar, as well as culinary delicacies based on German and regional recipes await you in the historic premises, with the rustic Schwälmer dishes being particularly appreciated by tourists.
