The Markgräflerland lies like the proverbial ‘little garden of paradise’ between Basel and Breisgau, the Upper Rhine and the southern Black Forest. Descriptions by famous personalities read like something out of a fairy tale. The landscape offers marvellous views and vistas.
The Markgräflerland holiday region is particularly inviting in spring during the cherry blossom season. Hikes into the nearby Eggenertal valley can be undertaken directly from our hotel. By the way, you can buy Black Forest kirsch from our own production. As Breisgau and Müllheim in particular are among the warmest places in Germany, we recommend a hike in the Black Forest in summer. Our local mountain, ‘der Blauen’, is right on our doorstep and impresses with its 1165 metres of altitude and probably the most beautiful panorama over the Vosges mountains to the Alps.

2009/07/27We only stayed for one night but service, facility and friendliness were just great! I can certainly recommend this, it is just 5 minutes from the highway but so nice and quiet, also for a long evening walk. Thanks for a pleasant stay.
