The village, with an approximate population of 800, has been the historic guardian of the River Genal valley and nestles into the side of the mountain at an altitude of 522 m. The village is situated about 3 km below the main A-369 (Ronda to Algeciras) road, between the villages of Gaucín and Algatocín. The hotel´s facillities are practical, modern and comfortable.
