Victor Fernandes is long-haul captain flying for TAP - Air Portugal. His job takes him across different continents and time zones, travelling thousands of miles, many times on flights that take more than nine hours in a row. One can wonder, what in the world makes this man drive 175 kilometres right after landing in Lisboa, to get back to the Herdade de Água d’Alte? The answer is really quite simple: the company of his life mate Alexandra, the comfort of his home sweet home and the unique light of the sunset over the Serra d’Ossa in a warm and mild alentejano dusk. After all, as Victor Fernandes uses to say: Could there be anything better than living on a place where people love to come and spend their holidays?
