Quinta do Seixo is an ecological old farm from the 18th century set in the Valley of the Mondego River within the Natural Park of the Serra da Estrela, the largest mountain range in Portugal. We offer our guests two independent sunny self catering holiday houses to choose from: the Main House and the House of Carriça.

The Main House is a spacious restored historical home with 2 twin bedrooms and 3 double bedrooms – which one of double bedrooms on the ground floor is suitable for people with reduced mobility/disabled – a large fully equipped common kitchen (cooker/oven, fridge/freezer – microwave – electric water boiler – coffee machine – toaster, washing machine) with fireplace (wood not included in the price), a dining room and a living room equipped satellite TV and DVD player. All rooms have en-suite bathroom, and a view of the valley and the mountains. The farm offers a covered terrace with a traditional bread oven and barbecue. Comfortable chairs invite you to relax and enjoy the fresh air, the sun and the view on the patio. It accommodates ten to twelve adults. Ideal for groups big and families with children. If necessary, we can provide beds for children.

The House of Carriça is an independent cottage in a small stone-walled farm 200m away from the Main House. The 1st floor has two double bedrooms, one bathroom with hydro massage cabin, living room with TV, LCD, DVD player with USB input and SD card reader and a fully equipped kitchen (cooker/oven – fridge/freezer – microwave – coffee machine) with wood burning fire (wood not included in the price). The basement is an open space with a bed, an open fireplace and a small full bathroom. Outside the house, is a sunny terrace, a small pond, several garden chairs and deckchairs which invite you to relax and enjoy the fresh air, the sun and the view with sense of laziness and privacy.

Cleaning towels and linen are provided and changed weekly and included in the price. Central heating. Smoking inside the houses is NOT allowed. Auto-parking. Well behaved pets possible under conditions. During the bath season, the stay includes free access to the beach located along the river (Vila Viçosa Village) at 600 meters from the property, awarded with Blue Flag and the Flag of accessibility.
