We welcome you to our hospitable house, the hotel and restaurant ZUR LOCHMÜHLE in Penig-Tauscha near Chemnitz.

Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the soothing tranquility and spend your holiday or your weekend in our idyllic house in the ‘Valley of Castles’ on the Zwickauer Mulde. It is no longer known exactly how the Lochmühle got its name. It can only be assumed that the property got its name because it is located in a small valley. Originally, a paper and cardboard factory was operated on the property. The water of the village stream found its way over the mill pond and set a large mill wheel in motion.

Our hotel offers 22 lovingly furnished rooms, where you can expect warm hospitality in a relaxed atmosphere. The Lochmühle's kitchen offers you a wide selection of regional and popular specialities. Fine wines from our cellar and our always friendly service staff promise a pleasant stay. For your relaxation, our swimming pool and sauna are at your disposal.

The charming natural setting of the Mulde Valley invites you to take long walks and visit the many attractions in the immediate vicinity. There are good transport links to the major cities of Saxony. With our newly built bed house, we offer all our guests cosiness and comfort in a quiet, idyllic location in the valley of castles. The hotel is very conveniently located; it can be easily reached from Chemnitz, Leipzig and Dresden via the Chemnitz-Nord motorway exit and the B 95.
