Welcome to the historic Hotel-Restaurant Löwen in Schopfheim-Gündenhausen.

For more than 400 years, travellers have rested here and fortified themselves with "food and drink". The magnificent outrigger with a golden lion holding a wine goblet announces the hospitality that has been cultivated for centuries at the Löwen in Schopfheim. Of course, nowadays the comfort of the rooms and the quality of the food and drink are incomparably higher than in the old days. But we have preserved the historic charm throughout the house. And in our "feel-good chambers", tiled stoves meet chic bathrooms, Art Nouveau furniture meets exposed walls, ornately decorated wooden beds meet health-promoting modern mattresses.

We still cook ourselves "down-to-earth with a difference" according to old recipes of the Baden-Alemannic cuisine. The Löwen offers the right setting for every party in four rooms, from 18 people in the vaulted cellar to 90 people in the old barn. Meetings and seminars for about 20 people in an appealing atmosphere are also possible here.

In fine weather, enjoy our garden restaurant under the chestnut trees with adjacent children's playground and take a look at our herb garden.

It is somewhat quieter in our inner courtyard, which has a slightly southern ambience.

The central location invites you to make excursions to France, Switzerland, Lake Constance and the Black Forest. The Europapark Rust is also only an hour's drive away.
