On a surface of nearly 5 hectares, between the green hills of Mount Etna, there is the farm “La Rocca della Rosa”. It rises on the fresh and delicate countryside of Zafferana Etnea, with the sea to its feet and the majestic Etna behind. The place, suitable for lovers of nature, responds to several wishes: pure air and light, rest and quiet, please feel free and real, discovery of unknown cultural treasures, need of evasion and fun.

The farm, born in a strategic position on the Etna volcano slopes at a few kilometres from Taormina, in a country of distinguished traditions, where the viceroy usually spent their time, offers a stay in apartment blocks of ancient and noble architecture. Cherries, fruit, extra virgin olive oil, jams, honey are organic products sold in the company.

The ancient wine cellar, not hiddden in the basement but part of the villa, where in ancient times the barrels took place, is now a restaurant. Here you can taste a great range of tipical Sicilian dishes, exquisite recipes of the ancient "Monsù" (Sicilian traditional chefs) but also simple and tasty grill.The restaurant is always open to guests, although a prior booking is necessary .

Zafferana Etnea is located inside the Mt Etna protected park.

Etna is not only the highest active volcano in Europe but a unique natural environment, Kingdom of raptors as the royal eagle. The area, full of large incontaminated spaces, keeps a lot of botanical rarities, as the pine Laricio, beech and birch-tree, and also a suggestive show of flora that fights with the volcano for its survival. The surroundings are particularly interesting: the medieval town of Taormina, the archaeological site of ancient Naxos, the basaltic gorges of Alcantara river, Randazzo entirely built in lava stone, Acireale and its baroque, Acitrezza homeland of Malavoglia with the Faraglioni rocks and the “Protected sea area”, the path of the basilian Churches.
