Welcome to the Bed & Breakfast Il Griffone in Pistoia!

The B & B Il Grifone is the result of a rigorous and accurate restoration of a luxury apartment on the second floor of a historic building in the heart of the city of Pistoia, in one of the most beautiful regions in Italy: Tuscany.

It offers its guests rooms modernly furnished and equipped with all comforts in an elegant and cozy Tuscan-style structure, embellished with a superb balcony from which you can enjoy the famous red roofs of the old town.

Inspired by the three elements: Earth, Fire and Water, in the first room finishes, furnishings and decorative elements suggest the Earth and the feeling of security and stability that it inspires in all of us. In the second room a completely restored antique fireplace is the master, and here is the Fire, from where you can admire the Madonna of Humility Dome. In the third room Water is the main protagonist and the best way to highlight its presence was the creation of a comfortable and spacious bathroom.

Each room is equipped with air conditioning, heating, LCD TV, minibar and safe, each private bathroom has an hairdryer and a shower kit is provided.

Finally, on the upper floor, we have realized private premises, embellished with magnificent views onto Pistoia’s sky and its houses’ red roofs. In the beautiful spring days a large terrace will let you to relax sipping a drink.

You can take breakfast in our kitchen with other guests or on the terrace outside in summer. In the morning we offer fresh brioshes, bread or “schiacciata” or other cakes.

From our B & B you can easily reach all the places of historical and artistic interest of the city as "La Sala", town life hub and daily market location, The Duomo square with its famous Baptistery, the old Hospital of the Log where the Della Robbia’s panels have written their history.

The famous Manzoni Theater is a few minutes walk away and from our windows, you can admire the second largest Tuscan dome after Florence Cathedral’s one: The Madonna of Humility Dome.

“Il Grifone” will thus be the reference point for your stay in Pistoia and, on the way back from a visit to the surrounding towns (Florence, Montecatini, Abetone, Lucca, Viareggio, etc..). Sipping a drink while relaxing under our lodge, you will have the feeling of being at home.
