The Sandgut Mihla is situated in a beautiful and quiet location between the Thuringian Forest and the Hainich National Park, north of the city of Eisenach, directly on the Werra. The house was built in the first half of the 17th century as a baroque manor house for the Barons of Harstall.
Stay in a very quiet location directly on the Nordbogen der Werra, directly on the Werratal cycle path!
We offer quiet single to triple rooms with shower and toilet, as well as family apartments.
For families, we recommend booking two rooms with a shared shower/toilet. The rooms are connected by a small hallway and are located on the second floor.
We always try to keep our occupancy schedule up to date.
At the moment we have an increased number of bookings, which of course we are very happy about. It may happen that the occupancy schedule has not yet been updated. On the other hand, there are also cancellations at short notice, so that individual rooms may become available again. If you would like to book at short notice, please call 036924/42501.
Besides accommodation and Thuringian specialities (slaughter buffet, fattened lamb from regional production), we also offer you the room for your celebrations and events.
We would be happy to organise the appropriate leisure activities for you: 3 guest rooms for 15-25 or 80 people, horse riding. Boat and bicycle hire in the village, horse-drawn carriage rides.

You will find the municipality of Mihla (Wartburg district) on every map: directly on the striking Werraknie in the middle of Germany, near Eisenach in Thuringia. Boat trips on the Werra, long-distance cycle paths, Rennstieg, horse centres, paragliding and the open-air swimming pool are cornerstones for active people.

2010/09/20Wir - 3 Radfahrer aus dem Raum Warburg/Paderborn -waren von Ihrem Haus sehr angetan. Besonders angenehm war die Unterhaltung mit der Geschäftsführerin Ihres Hotels. Deren Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft und Information empfanden wir als überaus lobenswert. Leider habe ich den Namen der Dame vergessen. Ihr einen besonders herzlichen Gruß.Leider hatten wir am Abreisetag mehr als schlechtes Wetter. Der Regen hat uns auf der gesamten Tagestour begleitet.Gutes Wetter kann man nicht immer erwarten. Unseren bekannten Fahrradgruppen werden wir Ihr Haus garantiert weiterempfehlen. Sicher kommen wir mit unseren Familien in der Folgezeit vorbei. Mit freundlichen Grüßen - Sepp Floren und Mitfahrer.
