Our hotel zu den Schildbürgern is located in the Dahlener Heide, a protected landscape area between the cities of Leipzig (40 km) and Dresden (65 km).

The name of our hotel recalls the inhabitants of the nearby town of Schilda(u), who became famous for the 'Schildbürgerbuch' published in the late Middle Ages.
The proverbial beauty of the Dahlen Heath spreads out all around the cosy hotel - situated directly on the mill pond.

Our hotel has 16 rooms. Our rooms are equipped with shower/WC, TV, radio alarm clock and direct dial telephone. Some of the rooms have a balcony. We also provide a travel cot and changing mat for our youngest guests. On request, internet access can be provided for a fee.

Our rustically furnished restaurant with its leaded glass Schilldbürger windows invites you to culinary delights and a cosy stay.
The restaurant's magnificent coloured glass windows depict some of the Schildbürger's pranks. You are welcome to learn more about the Schildbürger. Let their stories and pranks amuse and entertain you. We recommend our "Schildbürger dishes" and the giant schnitzel to go with them.

Our restaurant also offers the perfect setting for your family celebrations - whether a birthday, wedding or anniversary. Lovely table decorations and perfect service will make your celebration an unforgettable experience. We adapt to your wishes and needs and are a dedicated host to you and your guests. By the way, this also applies to our youngest guests!

Families with children are also in good hands in our hotel. The playground behind the house gives the little guests plenty of space to play and romp around, while the parents can relax and enjoy themselves in the guest garden.

Hiking, walks and horse-drawn carriage rides round off the leisure activities on offer. You are also welcome to use our hotel garden with its large meadow for relaxation.

Wir lieben die Ruhe, und waren sehr angetan und positiv überrascht über soviel Menschlichkeit was an Tage gelegt wurde.Weiterso! nur so kann man in der heutigen Zeit überleben.Danke an das Team im Hotel zuden Schildbürgern.

Sehr familiäre und kinderfreundliche Atmosphäre, zuvorkommendes Personal, schöner, großer Spielplatz und sogar Mitnahme eines Haustieres war möglich
