Welcome to the Gasthof Hochstein in Meschede-Wehrstapel!

The Gasthof Hochstein has a very special atmosphere and a tradition that carries with it an obligation.

Since 1879, our family has been taking care of our guests' well-being, and we are now the fifth generation to do so. Here you will find a family atmosphere, comfort and good cuisine.

Whether you are a holidaymaker or a traveller, you will feel at home with us.

You dine in rustically furnished rooms. Our well-known cuisine offers you a large selection of home-style and Sauerland dishes. Fish, meat, vegetables and fruit are always freshly prepared according to tried and tested recipes. Our function rooms are ideal for celebrations and parties of all kinds, from 10 to 80 people.

We have beautifully and comfortably furnished guest rooms and a separate TV and lounge for short or long stays in our house. All rooms are equipped with bath/shower and toilet.

Fun and entertainment are guaranteed in two state bowling alleys.

Our shed is a reason for hearty celebrations, and when the weather is nice you can also use our garden restaurant.

The little ones are also well catered for, whether it's on the child-friendly playground or playing with the pets such as ponies, sheep and rabbits. Playing is a great experience for the whole family, because the playground is right next to the garden restaurant. You can always keep an eye on your little ones and help them immediately if necessary.

Our house is a wonderful starting point for extended hikes through the well-signposted Sauerland forests in all four seasons. There are many worthwhile excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity, such as the Hennesee, the mining and local history museum, caves, castles, lookout towers and game reserves, indoor and outdoor swimming pools or the Fort Fun amusement park.
