Welcome to the Gasthof Hochstein in Meschede-Wehrstapel!

The Gasthof Hochstein has a very special atmosphere and a tradition that obliges.
Our family has been looking after the well-being of our guests since 1879, now in its fifth generation. Here you can expect a family atmosphere, comfort and fine cuisine.
Whether you are a holidaymaker or a traveller, you will feel at home with us.

Dine in rustically furnished rooms. Our famously good cuisine offers you a large selection of home-style and Sauerland dishes. Fish, meat, vegetables and fruit are always freshly prepared according to tried and tested recipes. Our function rooms are ideal for celebrations and parties of all kinds from 10 to 80 people.

For short or longer stays in our house, we have nicely and cosily furnished guest rooms as well as a separate TV room and lounge. All rooms are equipped with bath/shower and WC.

Fun and entertainment are guaranteed on two national bowling alleys.
Our "Remise" is a reason for hearty celebrations, in good weather you can also use our garden restaurant.

The little ones are also catered for, whether it's a child-friendly playground or simply playing with pets such as ponies, sheep and rabbits, playing is a great experience for the whole family, as the playground is directly adjacent to the garden restaurant. You can always keep an eye on your little ones and can help immediately if necessary.

In all four seasons, our house is a wonderful starting point for extensive hikes through the well-marked Sauerland forests. There are many worthwhile excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity, such as the Hennesee lake, the mining and local history museum, caves, castles, observation towers and game reserves, outdoor and indoor swimming pools or the Fort Fun leisure park.
