The traditional Hotel zur Post - a three-star hotel (***S) with an excellent reputation - is situated in the middle of one of the most beautiful holiday regions in Germany, between the unspoilt landscape of the Chiemgau mountains and the Upper Bavarian Inn Valley.

Our hotel has been run by the Stocker family for over 200 years. We want you to feel at home here. We are happy to spoil you. Our cosy guest rooms and parlour as well as the shady beer garden invite you to linger. There are no days off or company holidays at the ‘Post’ thanks to our excellent staff.

The new guest house ‘Poststadl’ was ready for occupancy in July 2015 and our guests can enjoy 36 rooms with 4-star comfort and a living space of over 30 m² with balcony or terrace. The rooms are furnished to a very high standard with fine woods and warm colours and plenty of window space. Lots of light in the room and beautiful, well thought-out details ensure a Bavarian feel-good atmosphere and contemporary comfort. A total of 113 newly renovated, comfortably furnished rooms are available. The hotel is handicapped accessible and the rooms are easily accessible for wheelchair users.

We also offer the ideal facilities for cosy family celebrations, weddings, business lunches, conferences or seminar events. Our kitchen has a number of delicacies in store for you and our in-house butcher's shop ensures that all specialities are served fresh to your table.

Children are very welcome at the ‘Post’ and we also cater for their needs: Children's menu with prize puzzle - every child receives a prize - inexpensive children's dishes and drinks, highchairs, nappy-changing room and children's house. It is not for nothing that the ‘Post’ was awarded the ‘child-friendly restaurant’ accolade by the German Hotel and Restaurant Association in 1998.

From Rohrdorf, the beauties of the Inn Valley and Chiemgau are within easy reach; whether a day of swimming at Lake Chiemsee or a mountain hike on the Kampenwand - a ride on the high mountain cog railway to the Wendelstein or an excursion to the Samerberg with the Hochries. Thanks to its ideal location in the Munich-Salzburg-Innsbruck triangle, our house is the perfect starting point for a wide variety of excursions.
