The traditional Hotel zur Post - a three-star hotel (***S) with an excellent reputation - is located in the middle of one of the most beautiful holiday regions in Germany, between the unspoilt landscape of the Chiemgau mountains and the Upper Bavarian Inn Valley.

Our house has been run by the Stocker family for over 200 years. We want you to feel at home here. We would like to spoil you. Our cosy guest rooms and parlours as well as the shady beer garden invite you to linger. Thanks to our excellent staff, there are no days off or company holidays at the "Post".

The new guesthouse "Poststadl" was ready for occupancy in July 2015 and our guests can enjoy 36 rooms with 4-star comfort and a living area of over 30 m² with balcony or terrace. The rooms are furnished to a very high standard with fine woods and warm colours and lots of window space. Plenty of light in the room and beautiful, well thought-out details ensure a Bavarian feel-good ambience and contemporary comfort. A total of 113 newly renovated, comfortably furnished rooms are available. The hotel is built handicapped accessible, the rooms are easy to reach for wheelchair users.

We also offer the ideal premises for cosy family celebrations, weddings, business dinners, conferences or seminar events. Our kitchen has a number of delicacies in store for you and our in-house butchery ensures that all specialities are served fresh directly to the table.

Children are very welcome in the "Post" and we are also prepared for their needs: Children's menu with prize puzzle - each child receives a prize - reasonably priced children's meals and drinks, highchairs, nappy-changing room and children's house. It is not without reason that the "Post" received the award "child-friendly restaurant" from the German Hotel and Restaurant Association in 1998.

From Rohrdorf, the beauties of the Inntal and Chiemgau are within easy reach; whether a day of swimming at Lake Chiemsee or a mountain hike on the Kampenwand - a ride on the high mountain cogwheel railway to the Wendelstein or a trip to the Samerberg with the Hochries. Due to its ideal location in the Munich-Salzburg-Innsbruck triangle, our house is an ideal starting point for a wide variety of excursions.

We have been certified by the ADAC and DEHOGA-Bayern. Motorcyclists can use the following special services with us:
