We affectionately refer to the Alte Wurzhütte as our cabin hotel. For us, this means that it is as traditional as the typical huts in our village, but at the same time up to date, to offer you an unforgettable holiday at Spitzingsee. Feel the unique traditional atmosphere and the tranquillity that prevail here at over 1,000 metres. But also enjoy every comfort you could wish for in a hotel with a sauna by the lake: cosy rooms with high-quality furnishings, a sumptuous breakfast buffet and a delicious dinner... and hosts who will make your dearest holiday wishes come true.

The birthday and wedding location by the lake

Special moments deserve special celebrations. That's why you can celebrate not only your wedding with us, but also all the big and small milestones of life. Grandma's 80th birthday? Mom and Dad's silver wedding anniversary? Your brother's master's degree? These are all precious moments that are best spent with all your favourite people. At the Alte Wurzhütte, our parlours, a special menu and the right atmosphere await you.

After an extensive mountain or bike tour, after an unforgettable day on the slopes, relaxing in the sauna of our hut hotel – doesn't that sound tempting? The Alte Wurzhütte welcomes you with a small but very fine sauna that you can reserve exclusively for you. It offers space for about 6 to 8 people. After a healthy sweat, you can cool off in the experience shower with an ice bucket (if you like refreshing yourself outside, you can take a dip in the Spitzingsee!) and then put your feet up on one of the 4 massage loungers. You can get sauna towels on request at our reception. Are you ready for pure relaxation?
