The charming farmhouse "LA PIEVE", is located on the hills of Val d'Elsa, between Volterra and San Gimignano, along the Via Francigena, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, with its luxuriant nature and rich history.

You reach it through a lovely and evocative tree-lined road, which frames the findings of the ancient Etruscan civilization and the beautiful Romanesque church, la Pieve of SS. Ippolito and Cassiano, which dates back to the tenth century, and from which it gets its name. The farmhouse la Pieve offers its guests one suite, a cottage and a renovated apartment, where the typical features of the Tuscan countryside are preserved and enhanced through the use of natural materials and traditional techniques, such as “cocciopesto”.

The Duke's Suite was built recovering the ancient manor stables, whose original paving in large travertine stone was reused to build the great fireplace and emphasize specific features. Decorations are in keeping with the atmosphere of a charming country house; a focus on details and color combinations make it particularly welcoming. It has a separate entrance on the garden and the olive grove.

The Dependance Ermitage has a separate entrance to the garden through a wide patio. Large French windows ensure brightness and maximum privacy at the same time. The spacious inner arches make the inner space welcoming and soft, and the fixtures and furniture are carefully designed down to the finest detail. It is warm and perfect for relaxing. The Knights apartment was made out of a part of the manor stables; it has a separate entrance and an outdoor area. The Duke's Suite, the Dependance Ermitage and the Knights apartment have a special “flavour” of tradition blended with contemporary tastes, thanks to the variety of shades of soft colors, in a refined setting.

The infinity pool, surrounded by the silence of the great olive grove, is equipped with deckchairs, sun loungers and shaded intimate corners.
It is lit up at night and gives a magic charm to the landscape, a spell of quietness and peacefulness. A solarium equipped with private entrance is available to guests, who can relax, have a drink and enjoy a splendid view on the Siena hills and olive groves.

The charming farmhouse La Pieve also has a park, perfect for strolling and enjoying quietness on the benches placed along the beaten paths. Etruscan tracks, dens of wild animals, wild herbs, create an enchanted atmosphere and uncontaminated contact with nature. Please note that we do not accommodate children under the age of 12 years.
