Built in 1766, the well-preserved half-timbered house is located directly on the romantic Rhine and offers a wonderful view of the Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site.

A hotel-restaurant where our guests feel right at home thanks to the familiar atmosphere and the home-style, seasonally changing cuisine.

The Rhine promenade in Spay with its many pretty half-timbered houses or the nearby slate vineyards offer a marvellous view of the Middle Rhine Valley and invite you to take a stroll or linger a while. In summer, you can enjoy regional wines or the finest fruit brandies from our own production in our shady vine arbour, which offers a romantic view of the Rhine.

In well-kept rooms with a total of around 30 hotel beds with shower/WC, some with balcony, TV and view of the Rhine, you can spend both short holidays and longer relaxing stays.

For festive occasions and larger groups, the Rheinhotel ‘Zum Anker’ has a hall in the house where you can celebrate in a cosy atmosphere with about 70 people, or a small festival hall next door. There you can celebrate family parties, organise concerts or club celebrations for up to 200 people without being disturbed. Of course you can also use the service of our good kitchen for larger parties and have cold or warm meals delivered by us.

Thanks to good transport connections via motorway, bus, train or boat, you are always

central and yet far away from the stress of everyday life. Enjoy the romantic Rhine Valley and spend a few pleasant hours in the cosy atmosphere of the Rheinhotel. For coaches we offer lunch and dinner service by prior arrangement.

For those who want to experience even more, there are numerous possibilities: from castle excursions and other sights on the Rhine and Moselle to hikes along the cultural hiking trail, boat trips or cycle tours for the whole family. Of course, you can also use our in-house bike hire service to explore the area on your own. Seasonal highlights such as the annual Rhine in Flames or numerous wine festivals in the surrounding area also offer something to suit every taste.
