Welcome to Gasthaus zum Engel in Hinterzarten – heavenly relaxation for the whole family.

Our ENGEL is located in the heart of the beautiful Black Forest, surrounded by wonderful natural scenery. Here, at an altitude of 1,030 metres, we fulfil all your wishes for a family-friendly holiday paradise: heavenly peace and quiet, beautiful nature, delicious regional specialities from Baden and cosy guest rooms in Black Forest style.

Twelve cosy rooms (including two holiday apartments) in Black Forest style await our guests. All rooms are equipped with a bathroom and WC. Almost all have a large balcony with breathtaking panoramic views over meadows and forests. In this idyllic setting, you will find peace and relaxation in every season.

We also offer two modern holiday apartments with wonderful views of our beautiful landscape. The larger holiday apartment has been awarded 4 stars. The holiday apartments are located directly at the guesthouse and are equipped with a kitchen-living room, shower/WC, balcony and satellite TV. On request, you can have breakfast in the house or have fresh bread rolls delivered daily. Whether with the whole family or as a couple, our holiday apartments offer enough space for up to five people. A children's playground is located directly at the house.

In our cosy restaurant, we serve traditional Baden specialities (from our own smokehouse). Let us spoil you and enjoy the delicious culinary delights. In the afternoon, you can enjoy coffee and freshly baked cakes here.

Countless hiking trails allow you to discover the fascinating Black Forest landscape – sun-drenched vineyards and shady spruce forests; lush meadows and blossoming fruit trees in the valley, weather-beaten spruce trees and bare rocks on the peaks. Tennis courts, golf courses, outdoor swimming pools, indoor and thermal baths, ski lifts and cross-country ski trails are all nearby.
