Welcome to the Gasthaus zum Engel in Hinterzarten - heavenly relaxation for the whole family.

In the middle of the most beautiful Upper Black Forest, in a wonderful natural landscape, lies our ENGEL. Here - at 1030 metres above sea level - we fulfil all your wishes for a family-friendly holiday paradise: Heavenly peace, wonderful nature, delicious regional Baden specialities, cosy guest rooms in Black Forest style.

Twelve cosy rooms (including two holiday flats) in Black Forest style await our guests. All rooms are equipped with bathroom and WC. Almost all of them have a large balcony with a breathtaking panoramic view over meadows and forests. In this idyll you will find peace and relaxation in every season.

We also offer two modernly furnished holiday flats with a magnificent view of our beautiful countryside. The larger holiday flat has been awarded 4 stars. The holiday flats are located directly at the guesthouse and are equipped with a kitchen/living room, shower/WC, balcony and satellite TV. If you wish, you can have breakfast in the house or have fresh bread rolls delivered daily. Whether with the whole family or as a couple, there is enough space for up to five people in our holiday flats. A children's playground is located directly at the house.

In our cosy restaurant we serve traditional Baden specialities (own smokehouse). Let us spoil you and enjoy the delicious delicacies. In the afternoon you can get coffee and freshly baked cake here.

Countless hiking trails allow you to discover the fascinating Black Forest landscape - sun-drenched vineyards and shady spruce forests; lush meadows and blossoming fruit trees in the valley, furrowed weathered spruces and bare rocks on the peaks. Tennis courts, golf courses, outdoor pools, indoor and thermal pools, ski lifts and cross-country skiing trails are all in the immediate vicinity.
