Welcome to the guesthouse with heart ‘ the Bichlerhof ’ Mittenwald

Why ‘Guesthouse with heart’? Because we believe it suits us and you will feel it as our guest. We look after our guests lovingly and with a lot of passion all year round!

We are a family-run business with 45 beds, quietly yet centrally located at the end of Mittenwald's picturesque pedestrian zone. Mittenwald is the southernmost town in Bavaria, 111 km from Munich, 18 km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen and 30 km from Innsbruck. Mittenwald is therefore an ideal starting point for many excursions. Be it a trip to the Zugspitze, to the castles of Linderhof, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, the list goes on and on. Mittenwald is difficult to describe, you have to see and experience it! The unspoilt nature, the picturesque Lüftlmalereien on the houses, the original way of life and a lot of ‘lived’ tradition in every season are impressions that you will take home with you from your holiday in Mittenwald.

Our rooms are all equipped with shower/WC, flat screen TV, minibar and direct dial telephone. Each room has a balcony or terrace with a marvellous view of our mighty mountain massifs. The Bichlerhof is surrounded by a large garden.

‘Body & Soul’ We spoil you in the morning with a rich breakfast buffet from 07.00 to 10.30, in the afternoon with coffee and apple strudel. In the evening we are happy to welcome you for a glass of wine or a ‘Hoibe’ beer with a selection of tarte flambée and onion tart.

Four-legged friends are welcome for a small surcharge of 5 euros per day.

Our small, well-kept bathing area with swimming pool (8 x 4 metres) and an infrared cabin is available daily between 8 am and 8 pm. Our sauna is open from 2 pm to 8 pm.

Take some time out from time to time - treatment appointments from Monday to Sunday for classic massages, Lomi-Lomi or natural healing treatments with our Mrs Gabi, Mr Gerlach and Mrs Gieche in our health cabin will take care of your mental and physical well-being. We will be happy to send you our health flyer online or by post.

Directly at the Bichlerhof you will find a large car park, unfortunately we do not have garages. If you would like to leave your car with us for a longer period of time, e.g. during a hiking tour, there are various local options - just contact us!

Children are of course welcome in our house, we have folding beds, pull-out beds and cots. We are a very large family ourselves, but ask that parents supervise their children in the bathing and breakfast areas and ensure that ALL guests are happy.
