A warm welcome to the guesthouse with heart " the Bichlerhof " Mittenwald

Why "guesthouse with heart"? Because we believe that this fits to us and you will feel this as our guest. We look after our guests lovingly and with a lot of heart and soul all year round!

We are a family business with 45 beds, situated in a quiet but central location at the end of the picturesque pedestrian zone of Mittenwald. Mittenwald is the southernmost town in Bavaria, 111 km from Munich, 18 km from Garmisch- Partenkirchen and 30 km from Innsbruck. Mittenwald is therefore an ideal starting point for many excursions. Be it a trip to the Zugspitze, to the castles of Linderhof, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, the list could be continued endlessly. Mittenwald is hard to describe, you have to see and experience it! The untouched nature, the picturesque Lüftl paintings on the houses, the original way of life and a lot of "lived" tradition all year round are impressions you will take home with you from your holiday in Mittenwald.

Our rooms are all equipped with shower/WC, flat screen TV, minibar and direct dial telephone. Each room has a balcony or terrace with a wonderful view of our mighty mountain massifs. The Bichlerhof is situated in the middle of a large garden.

"Body & Soul" We spoil you in the morning with a lovely breakfast buffet from 07.00 to 10.30, in the afternoon with coffee and apple strudel and in the evening with Bavarian delicacies and many carefully prepared dishes. You can book half-board or dinner on a daily basis, but we would ask you to let us know what you would like to eat by midday. Dinner is served between 18.00 and 20.00 hrs. Many cold delicacies round off our offer.

Our small, well-maintained bathing area with swimming pool (8 x 4 metres), two infrared cabins and saunas as well as a cosy corner are available to you daily between 8 am and 8 pm. Mrs. Christiane-Altmann Gieche and Mr. Alfons Gerlach will take care of your mental and physical well-being in our health cabin from Monday to Sunday, also on weekends. We will be happy to send you our health flyer online or by post. You will receive a 10% early booking discount on massages that you book in advance.

You will find a large car park directly at the Bichlerhof, unfortunately we do not have any garages. If you would like to leave your car with us for a longer period of time, e.g. during a hiking tour, there are also various possibilities - just talk to us! Dogs are allowed and are free guests with us. If you wish, we will see to it that your four-legged darling has the usual food in his room when he arrives. Children are of course welcome in our house, we have folding beds, pull-out beds, cots and Snow White beds. We are a very large family ourselves, but would ask that parents supervise their children in the bathing and breakfast areas and ensure that ALL guests are happy.
