The Ankerhof Hotel is centrally yet quietly located in the city centre on a branch of the Saale and was built as a warehouse in 1836. After extensive renovation work, the hotel has been run as a 4-star leisure and conference hotel since 1997.

The Ankerhof Hotel has 50 individually designed single and double rooms, including one suite and two rooms for the disabled. All rooms are quietly located with a partial view of the Saale. They are all comfortably furnished and equipped with: Shower/WC, hairdryer, make-up mirror, direct dial telephone, wireless LAN, safe, radio, cable TV, Sky and minibar.

The rooms are soundproofed and fully air-conditioned in the attic. The mighty natural stone walls made of local porphyry and an impressive wooden beam construction in the former warehouse of the Royal Main Customs Office characterise the architectural style of the restored Ankerhof Hotel.

The Saalekahn restaurant, located directly on the Saalearm, is situated in the ANKERHOF Hotel courtyard. With seating for up to 150 guests, separate rooms and a unique terrace, we cater to the needs of our a la carte guests and banqueting events.

Our head chef and his team will spoil you with regional German cuisine and international specialities in a maritime ambience.
