Welcome to the conference and adventure hotel ZUM KLOSTER with 6-lane bowling facility (with moonlight) in the heart of the Thuringian Forest.

Surrounded by the historical atmosphere of the former Benedictine monastery, the Hotel Zum Kloster in Rohr offers stylish and individually furnished rooms. The generously designed rooms of the house allow a view over meadows, into a variety of green tones. In both houses we have a total of 68 beds (32 rooms), divided into single, double and multi-bed rooms. All rooms are equipped with shower/WC, direct dial telephone and colour TV. Pets are unfortunately not allowed.

In the morning we offer a rich breakfast and in the restaurant with beer garden we spoil our guests with culinary delights. Our restaurant provides you with delicacies from Thuringia as they were once cooked in grandmother's time every day from 11.00 am to 10.00 pm. You can enjoy them in our beer garden together with the last rays of sunshine or in our restaurant with cosy retreats in the form of rustic brick grottos.

Up to 80 people can find fun, games and relaxation here on six lanes. The bowling bar takes care of your physical well-being. Every day from 10.00 p.m. we organise moonlight bowling, which is unique in this region. You can bowl on our high-quality lane surfaces only with bowling shoes, which we are happy to provide. For regular bowlers we offer fashionable shoes for sale.

At the "Kloster" there are a couple of motorcycle enthusiasts who like to take their guests on guided tours to show them the beautiful sides of the Thuringian countryside. The motorbike traveller is led through Suhl in formation, guided over colourful traffic lights and the interactive slalom course with independently moving obstacles in the form of four-wheeled motor vehicles is considered particularly attractive.

The highlight of the excursion is a visit to the local mountain. We had a roundabout specially installed at the foot of the mountain so that the annoying turning is no longer necessary. Rohr is the ideal starting point for motorbike tours to the Thuringian Forest or the Rhön. The routes are ideal for beginners, advanced bikers, the sportily ambitious as well as the quiet rider.

Female bikers are of course always welcome at the monastery. On request, we offer guided tours in the surrounding area, or give tips for a charming excursion with or even without a motorbike...
Free garage parking is available for motorbikes.

For celebrations and other events, we are also happy to take care of the transfer of your guests.
