Welcome to the Hotel Ristorante Taormina in Birkenfeld.

Our family-run hotel restaurant is located in the centre of Birkenfeld, just 2 km from the ‘Golden City’ of Pforzheim. The Ristorante Taormina in Birkenfeld near Pforzheim was opened on 6 December 2005 after a complete renovation. The interior design is inspired by the rustic restaurants of the so-called ‘trattorias’ of Sicily.

Feel at home...
We offer comfortable single and double rooms for overnight stays, whether you are a holidaymaker or a business traveller. Our newly renovated and modern rooms all have (up to four) beds, digital satellite TV, internet, a desk and a bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower. Public and private parking spaces are available in sufficient numbers directly at the house. In addition, there is the possibility to park in our underground car park. You can book our breakfast buffet if you wish. It gives you the opportunity to fortify yourself before your excursion or your working day.

Whether you are looking for pasta or fish specialities, traditional Italian dishes or regional and local specialities, we have something for everyone. In addition to our menu, we also offer constantly changing daily and weekly menus. So you can enjoy a first-class service and excellent dishes of the highest quality, always freshly prepared, in a Mediterranean ambience and cosy atmosphere. We will be happy to send you our current menu on request. Of course, we offer you a wide selection of exquisite Italian wines to accompany our dishes.

Whether it's a wedding, church celebration, birthday or other festivity, you can organise everything with us. We will be happy to put together a personalised menu with you to make your celebration truly special. Please contact us in good time. For wine lovers, we have a ‘wine corner’ where private wine tastings are organised at agreed times. A ‘big wine tasting’ takes place once a year. Due to high demand, we kindly ask you to register in good time. You can also purchase fine wines or high-quality Italian olive oils from us.

In addition to our 80 seats inside, we also open our outdoor terrace during the warm months. In summer, there are about 60 additional seats available there.

The friendly service and wonderful Italian cuisine have been the philosophy behind our success for years, as well as the high level of response from the catering industry. The new restaurant, with its unmistakable Mediterranean ambience and cosy atmosphere, is the crowning glory of a 30-year success story for the Suraniti family in the region.
