Welcome to the Hotel Ristorante Taormina in Birkenfeld.

Our family-run hotel-restaurant is located in the centre of Birkenfeld, only 2 km away from the gold town of Pforzheim. On 6 December 2005, the Ristorante Taormina was opened in Birkenfeld near Pforzheim, after complete renovation. The choice of furnishings is intended to be reminiscent of the rustic restaurants of the so-called "trattoria" of Sicily, which inspired the Suraniti family.

Living like at home...
For overnight stays, whether as a holidaymaker or business traveller, we offer comfortable single and double rooms. Our newly renovated and modernly furnished rooms all offer (up to four) beds, digital satellite TV, internet, a desk as well as a bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower. Public as well as private parking spaces are available in sufficient number directly at the house. In addition, there is the possibility of parking in our underground car park. Breakfast at our breakfast buffet can be booked on request. There you have the possibility to fortify yourself before your excursion or your working day.

Eat like in the trattorias of Sicily...
Whether pasta or fish specialities, traditional Italian dishes or regional and sessionale dishes, with our offer everyone is guaranteed to be served. In addition to our menu, we also offer constantly changing daily and weekly menus. So you can enjoy first-class service and excellent, always freshly prepared dishes of the highest quality in a Mediterranean ambience and cosy atmosphere. We will be happy to send you our current menu on request. Of course, we offer a large selection of exquisite Italian wines to accompany our dishes.

Whether weddings, church celebrations, birthdays or other festivities, you can organise them all with us. If you wish, we can put together an individual menu with you, so that your celebration will really be something special. Please contact us in good time. For wine lovers we have a "wine corner" where private wine tastings are organised on agreed dates. A "Grand Wine Tasting" takes place 1x a year. Due to the high demand, we kindly ask you to book in time. You can also purchase fine wines or high-quality Italian olive oils from us.

In addition to our 80 seats indoors, we open our outdoor terrace in the warm months. In the summer, there are about 60 additional seats available.

The friendly service to the wonderful Italian food, has been the philosophy for our success and the high resonance in the gastronomy for years. Because quality and customer satisfaction are our top priorities. The new restaurant with its unmistakable Mediterranean ambience and cosy atmosphere is the culmination of a 30-year success story of the Suraniti family in the region. The chef himself ensures well-being and a feast for the palate, so that every visit to Franco's feels like a little dream trip to Italy.

As a holidaymaker, Birkenfeld on the edge of the Black Forest is a perfect base for activities throughout the Enzkreis or Black Forest.
