All 42 rooms and suites at the Hotel Engel are lovingly and cosily furnished with great attention to detail. Thanks to the traditional Bregenzerwald charm, you can unwind here and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Mellau mountain panorama.

The half-board restaurant invites you to culinary delights, as does the à la carte restaurant Engelstube with delicious specialities from the Bregenzerwald. As guests of our hotel, it is your privilege to enjoy the Engel with all its culinary facets to the fullest. For our house guests we offer our half board with a rich breakfast buffet with organic corner and evening menu with 4-5 courses. And for our out-of-town guests, we serve regional specialities in our à la carte restaurant Engelstube. For our house guests, we naturally offer full all-round catering. Enjoy traditionally prepared dishes in an atmospheric setting, in the cosy parlour or in our restaurant.

Here with us, there is nothing that is not available. There is nothing lacking in sporting activities, fun and adventure, for young and old. Everyone will find something here. Along rushing streams, over lush alpine meadows to unique vantage points - you can hike the landscape, fauna and flora of the Bregenzerwald for over 2000 km. Mellau is suitable as a base camp due to its location at the foot of the Kanisfluh. Leisure activities at numerous streams as well as waterfalls are offered along the Bregenzerach. The swimming pool in the heart of Mellau also promises sparkling cooling from the end of May to the beginning of September. The insider tip par excellence: the Bregenzerwald. Whether leisurely or challenging, the Bregenzerwald has something for everyone across the whole spectrum. Cycle through the unique world of the Bregenzerwald to special vantage points and cosy mountain huts.

Experience the largest ski area between the Arlberg and Lake Constance and let yourself be spoilt by Austrian hospitality. Enjoy days in a snow-covered and unique panorama. The ski pass is valid in 31 skiing areas in the Bregenzerwald, in the Große Walsertal, in the Tyrolean Lechtal and in Balderschwang (Allgäu). 132 cable cars and lifts on a total of 332 kilometres of slopes ensure real fun on the slopes. We offer you heaven on earth. The new Mellaubahn with 10-seater gondolas has a transport capacity of over 3,100 people per hour and offers a comprehensive range of facilities at the valley station: sports shop, café with terrace and après ski, ski hire, ski depot, workshop, ski school and indoor ticket office. The mountain station also houses a supervised guest kindergarten.

You will find a small but fine sauna directly in the hotel to relax and unwind.
